Here at Chicago Academic, we are dedicated to helping promising, economically disadvantaged students prepare for and earn admission to college. We identify low-income high school students with the potential and ambition for college, and provide them with our services pro bono.
The harsh reality is that economically diadvantaged students have alarmingly low graduation rates. Only 55% of high school students in Chicago will make it to graduation, and less than half of those graduates enroll in college. At Chicago Academic, we want to help change these statistics.
Social Impact
With the help of our partners, we are able to identify low-income students who have the potential and drive necessary to graduate high school and attend college. We assist these students both financially and academically with not only our pro bono services but also our annual CA Community Service Award scholarship.
We operate from a perspective that views social consciousness and accountability as inextricably linked with education. We enjoy collaborations with several organizations, schools, and families that share our commitment to helping our youth develop into ambitious, responsible, and thoughtful societal participants.
